What is Deep Tissue Massage?
Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues. This massage uses slower, firmer pressure and specialised strokes to treat specific musculoskeletal issues such as chronic pain, stiffness and postural problems. This massage aims to release chronic tension, break down adhesions, and restore optimal movement.

How your appointment will look
Your massage therapist will greet you and take you into the consultation room. They will begin by discussing your symptoms and any specific problem areas that you would like more focus. They will assess your levels of tension and explain the treatment approach. Your massage therapist will then leave the room to give you time to prepare for your massage. You will remove the appropriate items of clothing and lie down on the treatment couch. You will then receive a focused massage.
Your session will conclude with your massage therapist leaving the room allowing you time to get ready to leave. Your therapist will offer after care suggestions and recommendations for follow up sessions.
