What treatments can help
Osteopathy
Your osteopath will use a variety of gentle and effective techniques, including massage, targeted stretching, and mobilisation on the wrist and surrounding joints. They will work to increase wrist and forearm mobility while correcting posture and mechanics higher up in the neck and shoulders, which can indirectly contribute to nerve irritation.
Acupuncture
Your acupuncturist will use very fine needles placed in carefully selected points on your body. Many people feel a mild tingling or warmth during treatment, followed by a sense of calm and relaxation. They will target specific points to combat pain and inflammation by relaxing the nervous system to calm nerve irritation and improve circulation.
Sports and Remedial Massage
Your massage therapist will work to release tight forearm and hand muscles, as well as reducing compression in the carpal tunnel to restore strength and flexibility. They aim to increase the mobility in your wrists and boost your recovery to get you performing at your best.
How you will feel after treatment
You are likely to feel reduced tingling and numbness in your hands and fingers, improved grip strength, and greater comfort using your hands for daily activities. With regular treatment you should find that symptoms will gradually disappear, and you will regain comfort and mobility in your hands.
